Filska are a band from the Shetland Isles and have built their music on the islands tradition of fiddle playing. The band’s most recent release ‘Thousand Miles Away’ is a collection of music that includes many of their own compositions. Filska have taken their unique sound all over the world, having performed in Europe, Canada & America.

What was the first festival you ever played at?
Spring Fling Festival '92 or '94.
What do you like about playing in Glasgow?
Celtic Connections, so many people from so far away at the concerts.
Who do you collaborate with?
More informal cèilidh, impromptu jams with various musicians.
What are your plans for 2008?
Recording the 4th album, which is coming out at the end of the year.
