John McCusker is one of Scotland’s foremost traditional musicians. Having performed with the Battlefield Band for 11 years, John is not only a respected musician/multi-instrumentalist, but is also an acclaimed record producer and composer. John recently joined Mark Knopfler on his 2008 world tour and will be touring with Irish singer Heidi Talbot and Boo Hewerdine.

What was the first festival you ever played at?
Performing with the Battlefield Band at Highland Circus
What do you like about playing in Glasgow?
I can go home at night and not have to talk to the band!!!

Eddi Reader, Kris Drever, John Doyle and Michael McGoldrick
What are your plans for 2008?
I'm making a record with Kris Drever and Roddy Woomble and also doing a world tour with Mark Knopffler.
