Karan Casey is well known from the Irish ‘supergroup’ Solas. Following groundbreaking success with the band, Karan decided to pursue a solo career, having recently released her fifth solo album ‘Ships in the Forest’, produced by Donald Shaw.

What was the first festival you ever played at?

Irish festival in the Bronx.

What do you like about playing in Glasgow?

The festival club at Celtic Connections

What are your plans for 2008?

New album called Ships in the Forest coming out. Touring Europe and America.
