
Luka Bloom, from Newbridge, Ireland comes from a long line of singers and writers, having first toured with his folk singer brother Christy Moore in 1969. An accomplished Irish folk-rock singer songwriter, Luka has toured all over the world with the likes of The Dixie Chicks, Hot House flowers and the Pogues to name but a few.

The Interview...
What was the first festival you ever played at?
Folk Festival in Thurso in 1972 at 17 years of age. I was playing Archie Fisher's guitar at the time.
What do you like about playing in Glasgow?
The people.
Who do you collaborate with?
I collaborate with loads of different people, too many to name.
What are your plans for 2008?
My plan is to make a really amazing album, which will hopefully come out in the Autumn.
