Punch Brothers are a bluegrass band consisting of Chris Thile, formerly of Nickelcreek, Gabe Witcher, Noam Pickelny, Chris Eldrige and Greg Garrison. Their most recent release ‘Punch’ feature’s Thile’s ‘The Blind leading the Blind’ as well as other original songs.

What was the first festival you ever played at?

Celtic Connections two and a half years ago.

What do you like about playing in Glasgow?

Glasgow is steeped in instrumental tradition. Café Gandolphi's Stornoway Black Pudding!

Who do you collaborate with?

Thom York in Radiohead, Kate Rusby and Julie Fowlis.

What are your plans for 2008?

Hoping to tour all year, mostly in America, but hopefully in Scotland too.
